I see that one of the birds is ringed - possibly by the Treshnish Ringing Group; but it may be from Canna or Colonsay. Is it possible to read the ring number on the original photograph? It would be great if you could as some Razorbills live to a considerable age - over 20 years
Hi David - unfortunately not. My camera was handheld on a rainy day and with a long lens and so there's a bit of camera shake & blur. However while I was on Ulva I did find the leg of a bird with a ring on. I submitted the details to the BTO and it turned out that it was from a puffin which had been ringed 7 years earlier.
