Shield bugs penetrating their victims with their rostrums and sucking sap from a viburnum leaf. They had a strong grip on the lady bird being able to drag it around the leaf.

Sedate SB

Yes This is the late Nymph of the Sedate SB one of three of our Carnivorous you can see it extracting juices from an unfortunate 7-Spot Lady using its toughed stylus like mouthparts - The Spiked SB also feeds in a similar manner dangling Sawfly Larvae on its stylet and extracting juice from the Larvae
