which i am convinced is something else but not yet found anything that is like H. elastica but just a lot smaller.
Do you think the habitat may have anything to do with size,also your's seem to have darker caps.Both mine were found in very damp boggy conditions.
Mine were n't in boggy conditions, rather under pines on sandy soil but not dry.
Well it seem's that they have grown in different conditions,mine were beech and pine.I wonder if this is the reason for the size difference as I cannot think of anything else.
