Bombus terrestris colours

The combination of darkish yellow bands on the front of the thorax and the top of the abdomen, together with a definate "buff" tail, make this B.terrestris. The general "jiz" to it says male, only males and queens show the buff tail well.

Male Bombus terrestris

Thanks for your comments, Matt. I wouldn't have known it was a male.
