Description:

We're still off in France but on an enlightened (or is that expensive?) campsite with free wifi.
Called in to La Brenne on the way down where this delightful character appeared. I didn't notice they were "small" until later but this looks uncommonly like a Small Emerald Damselfly (Lestes virens) and, I'd say, subspecies vestalis.

Also note the colour of the back of the head (visible below the far eye in this photo).
The yellow colour helps to eliminate most species apart from L. barbarus.
