I was thinking about a garden cross spider that is a little thin and hungry enough to tackle the bitter blood of a ladybird.
I observed a near neighbour, same species, of the above spider wrapping up a bee (!) for its larder. Hungry (or foolhardy) enough to take the risk, I suppose.
Garden cross spiders like wasps because they have more meat on them and anyway about half of pray bights at the front end and it is little more effort to deal with stuff that bights at both ends...
