We call them brambles in fife,some people mistake them for tayberries which is a cross of a blackberry and a raspberry.
Lots of folk around here call them Brambles too! I was brought up in Yorkshire and where I lived they were always'Blackberries'. I wonder if theres a regional preference? Perhaps.
I grew up calling them blacberries great for making Jam. Got some in the garden at home very prickly. Also got some tayberries aswell no thorns. But do look quite simiular.
