Lichen on North facing chalk cliffs. September 2011. Average temp approx 20C
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
No interactions present.
I have very few trees by me, but I do live close to some of Britains best chalk cliffs, these pictures were taken at Newgate Gap and Walpole Bay in Thanet, Margate, Kent. I am not sure which varieties these are and am too uncertain to make a guess. Any help would be appreciated. There are traces of Algea and, I suspect salt deposits, alongside some of the lichen.
You need closer more detailed photograph's and to put them on as separate observations to have a chance of getting them identified.
