Black very fine lichen on red sandstone

I couldn't really see any structure. It was like a fine black covering. It was growing on the church itself which is medieval and constructed of red sandstone. None of the sandstone gravestones had this one on them.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.
