Large goose. Very pale grey plumage. Orange beak and feet. Large pouch under beak and heavy feathered "thighs".

Thanks for this identification. I appreciate that geese can hybridise between wild and domestic versions. This bird just seemed to be such a different body shape to the canada geese it was with that I thought it might be a rare species. We saw Emperor geese on Walney Island in Cumbria this year, and that led to the expectation that there might be other species we didn't know.
