What is this?

I think this might be a carrot fly larvae, although I hope not!
I found it in my heated propergator where I am growing lettuce and spinich.

As you suggest, I should think this is some kind of fly larvae (Diptera). Hoverfly larvae tend to have this sort of slimy, see-through appearance - how big is it?

Agree that it looks like a fly larva, but I'm not aware of any hoverflies that look quite like this, so suspect it is one of the other families (but that isn't narrowing it down much I'm afraid!).
