possibly Ingrailed Clay?

I can't find anything that matches this moth exactly, but my best guess is Ingrailed Clay (Diarsia mendica), which is an extremely variable species.

There is some information on these Irish and Northern Irish sites:
http://www.habitas.org.uk/moths/species.asp?item=6209
http://www.mothsireland.com/species/2120.htm

See also:

By the way, you've tagged a couple of your moth photos as "butterfly" as well as moth, but "butterfly" is usually used only for certain families of Lepidoptera, see:
http://www.ukbutterflies.co.uk/index.php

All the other Lepidoptera are moths!
