What is the explanation for the pale yellow droplets on this fungus? There had been a fairly heavy rain shower a few hours earlier...

Thanks. It was at the end of a hedgerow and I 'thought' at the time that it was on Hawthorn or Hazel....Looking at the bark now I am not so sure. Resolution: Always check what fungus is growing on!!!
