I saw this on a sawfly larva site a few times,it look's amazing.

Eriocampa juglandis is a

Eriocampa juglandis is a North American species feeding on 2 trees of the genus Juglans - hence the scientific name. Eriocampa ovata is a British species that feeds on Alder and might be the one involved here.

I did not realize, this is a lovely looking sawfly,seem's to be an area were information is sparse,or are there some good web sites or book's on this subject.
