Thanks Alan, what are the signs of parasitism?

That's a very interestiing observation Alan, I'd like to know what you've seen? I'll have a good look at the Sycamore aphid too.

Look underneath it

Beaneath the aphid is a silken plate which is the coccoon of the parasite (a tiny wasp). Also, the aphid looks a rather odd colour and not all it's feet seem to be firmly on the leaf. See - sp sur un Gui(novembre 2008 - cimetière de Bruxelles)&auteur=Alain Doornaert
