Description:

Although one of the grasshoppers is brown in colour, we thought it might be the same species. Perhaps it is in a different stage of its life cycle?

Grasshoppers

No 1. Not enough showing for identification, but possibly same as no 3.
No 2. In GB this would be Chorthippus brunneus, but in Germany it could equally be Ch. biguttulus or Ch. mollis.
no 3. Looks like female Chorthippus montanus; similar to Ch. parallelus, but with longer wings. A denizen of wet grasslands. Is the habitat OK?

Thank you very much for your

Thank you very much for your help.

The habitat was grassland surrounded by orchards, cornfields and allotments, but it wasn't a damp area.

Grasshoppers

In that case numbers 1 and 3 are likely to be Chorthippus parallelus, Meadow Grasshopper or Gemeiner Grashüpfer.
