This fungus was coving the end of a fell tree diameter of 0.8 m. It has medium light brown modulating to darker brown ring colouring with a white edging.


Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!

Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

    Many-zoned polypore (Coriolus versicolor)

I think you are right with this one. Its also known as 'Turkeytail' and I think has been re-classified as Trametes versicolor
