The National Federation for Biological Recording is a organisation that brings together a wide range of people and organisations with an interest in recording wildlife and the environment. Membership includes individual naturalists, national organisations and recording societies, local records centres and their staff.

NFBR organises an annual conference, and this year it is on 15-17 April, at Windermere in the Lake District. The focus is on "Recording freshwater species and habitats", and the final day of the conference includes visits to local sites where there will be an opportunity to take part in field work led by the Freshwater Biological Association.
