Seen on a restock site in woodland. Hundreds of them flying about. Back legs are long and dangle beneath the body when in flight. Approx 2cm long.
No interactions present.

2011 has been a very good year for this species in Highland, especially in the E. See our results to date on the HBRG website, 'Latest news' for 23 Aug.

Thanks for your comment. I thought I'd seen a lot more of the species this year compared to last, but it was difficult to be sure when I didn't know what the species was! Had a look on the HBRG website just now, thanks - very interesting.
