light purple flower

Light purple flower growing in clustersin garden in Bedford throughout August. Similar size and stem appearance to crocus but petals on single head are folded in drape-like fashion with narrow top & wider at bottom of head (almost pagoda shape.

This is C. hederifolium

This is C. hederifolium because the corolla is auriculate at the base; in C. purpurascens it is smooth.
