Possible Ichneumon wasp

Very active wasp, body length 15mm, found indoors. Unable to give information on the abdomen as the wasp didn't open its wings.

Hi Ben

Thanks so much for the id. Looking in my books I gather Amblyteles species are extremely hard to differentiate without getting a good look at the insect, but good to get the genus at least.

Not Ichneumon xanthorius

I. xanthorius does not have this much yellow on top of the head and mesosoma
