Oh dear

It has been through the war of the worlds. I have never seen one that beat-up that can still fly.

The Peckled Butterfly

Hi Simon

I actually go out of my way to get decent shots of pecked or worn specimens to illustrate predation but i have actually seen some specimens fly near the vein structure a bit wobbly and on the way out but still kicking !!!! Given Admirals are migrants they still hold out pretty well the fresh Autuimn specimens will likely be second generation breeding here

Best Wishes
