Description:

It isn't known when these sheep first came to St. Kilda, and while some have been used in "rare breeds" farming on the Mainland, this population is completely unmanaged. The numbers rise and fall according to the harshness of the winters. The ewes take themselves into the shelter of the abandoned village structures for lambing.
