Slow Worm - Anguis fragilis

Found basking amongst short grass on sandy bank in coniferous forest. Probably just shed skin as a small piece of old skin still attached to eye. Believed to be a female.

The dark flanks and dorsal stripe along with a relatively small head means this is a female.
