Firecrest ?

Blackcap
Description:

Small bird in woodland at edge of lake. Distinctive copper looking head. I'm thinking Firecrest is more likely than Woodchat Shrike, but I'm no expert, and would appreciate being put in the right direction. I have a few other images, but none give a completely unobscured or sharp view.

Female or juvenile

It will be a female or a juvenile of either sex. Most juveniles are already undergoing their post-juvenile moult...as soon as they moult their first feather on the 'cap', they can be sexed, as that feather will emerge brown for a female or black for a male. First-winter birds have the cap colour of adults, then.
