I have had one of these in my garden in Somerset for the past two years. I have found out that via internet that if it has white flowers it is americana; with pink flowers, it's acinosa.
The difference seems to be important as the former is poisonous to humans and animals.
I have asked my Council to identify the plant and I hope they will get a response from DEFRA.
