An estimated 1.5 million bats live under a road bridge in the centre of Austin, Texas. They fly out of the bridge just before dusk and are a major tourist attaraction. THe boat in the picture is full of tourists who have paid for the view of them from the river. The 2nd pic shows the bats traveling in a huge plume, that looks like smoke, as they travel down the river to feed for the night.
