No, the fungi was dry, possibly past the lactation stage if it does belong to this group. From memory the gills were dry as was the upper surface of the cap. I hope this helps.

If you look at the bits of web below the caps they seem to be brown with spores so it can't be a lactarius as they don't have brown spores.
