Description:

Moths are difficult anyway but micro moths that don't sit still are impossible. This little chap was tiny compared to the adjacent hawthorn leaf, and was 'dancing' round and round with wings held up, presumably displaying.

Thanks for the suggestions

I've looked at various photos of both species on iSpot and the web and don't think they're quite right.

I know the photos aren't very good, the moth didn't sit still but the photos show dark legs with light stripes and most bizarrely, the first and second photos appear to show 2 sets of antennae, one set longish and the other short and stubby. The photos were also taken on 25th July.

Does any of this help?
