This fungi was found about 3.5m up on a tree and was approximately 150mm wide. The tree showed signs of woodworm, but not much decay.
Caution: Do NOT use iSpot to identify fungi to eat!
Some fungi are very poisonous so a mistaken ID could have serious consequences.

By the time they get to this size the upper surface of P ignarius is normally turning black so I am not sure about this id. Unfortunately I cannot come up with anything better other than watch this space.
