I think it may be a goosander or a red-breasted merganser but am unsure.

Hi Vicky, the photo of this duck and the following four or five - were they taken in a wildfowl collection? They are all species that are not native to the British Isles and would be quite unusual in a wild state - especially so many different species together.
Yes the many photos I took were at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust castle Espie centre in Belfast. They are mostly a wild collection of foreign birds in this one large area. It's pretty amazing to see them all really.
If you are interested in non-native species then this is an excellent place to see them up close. I loved it!
I think I took photos of at least 30 different species.
