I'm not sure there's such a thing as a "wild" raspberry in Britain. It's likely to be naturalised, rather than native - i.e. an escape from cultivation.
I'm sure you are right Chris, but there were a such lot of raspberry plants in 'the wild' in Tayside that it felt that they should be native!
