Description:

A small yellow-green plant, very prickly, with distictive dusky-golden petals. Growing among sun-warmed rocks only (not in grassland below or in moorland above). Found in fair abundance on very steep slopes of deep-cut river - often where temporary burns run down, exposing loose rocks. It appears to be at Northern extremity of its range (except for coastal) - using New Atlas of British & Irish Flora.
