Description:

On first glance, the numbering of spots on this ladybird didn’t seem quite right. Closer inspection showed two growths on its back (plus a dent) and I am wondering if this individual is carrying a parasite infection.

Hardening

I think ladybird elytra harden after emergence. I wonder if this one was disturbed / knocked before it had fully hardened into the normal shape?
