Description:

A small thrush like bird with orange tail feathers found its way into my fruit cage. Location is rural Monmouthshire surrounded by arable land and old mixed hedgerows. Could it be a youngster? I managed to catch it eventually but it liked to keep in the cover of the fruit leaves but I managed to get a few fleeting pictures

redstart

Definitely a common redstart. Black redstart females/juveniles are darker and greyer.
