From the duplications that occur elsewhere. I don't think I'm the only one to make the following mistake:
Having clicked on "Save" after typing a comment (depending on your web browser), it isn't always clear that the mouse-click has "taken". If iSpot has been reacting quickly, but has slowed down (or the local internet connection has done so), it is easy to think that the "Save" command has failed: result - duplicate comments which can't easily be deleted.
If there was a loading indicator (like there is for pictures when posting an observation), it would be clear that patience was required. Either that, or the facility to delete the duplicate comment. The latter would also be useful for those "senior" moments, when after adding the comment, you see something in the earlier entries that answers the question, or makes the comment irrelevant.
