Wave moth

I realise it looks similar to Satin Wave but according to UK Moths, Satin Wave is not found in northern Scotland where I found it

See what you mean but...

The blob on the map looks like a misID to me...in splendid isolation! It was just that the moth reminded me of the Smoky waves I've seen at Haddon Hill but wasn't sure.
