Is it true..................

Is it true there are spiny forms of Common Restharrow, Ononis repens? I just read that in David Streeter's Collins Flower Guide, 2009.

True

There is a form called Ononis repens var horrida which has spines and there is also O. spinosa var mitis which has no spines. If you can, read Stace Edn 3 and Sell and Murrell Vol 3 then you will be really confused!
