Description:

Not the greatest photo, I'm afraid, so I've left it a little bigger than usual.
I think (maybe hope) that this is a Scarce Emerald Damselfly that we nabbed in the Pinail Trail.
I also hope that my wife's macro lens did a better job. Must get one. ;-)

Looks to me like the pruinescence covers 2 segments, but you really need to see the shape of the inner anal appendages. Might be visible on a sharp macro shot.

Happy to cancel my wishful thinking and accept this a Common.

I nabbed my wife's macro shot and I can clearly see the Common Emerald lower appendages. However, the timestamp indicates that hers was a different specimen. Drat!

So, that's a £1300 Canon macros lens on the Xmas list, then. :D
