As the man says, do move this to Invertebrates to attract the dragonfly experts. I'm intrigued.

A bit too quick to judge!

Not sure about it being a Brown Hawker after closer inspection. As jccurd says, the abdomen is a bit too patterned. It also looks like it could have thin antehumeral stripes which might suggest Common Hawker. I believe older Common Hawkers can also have brownish tinged wings.
