Description:

Largest puffball 4cm in diameter. Firm to touch. Covered in pyramid shaped warts. Very white.

Identifications

Meaning of Lycoperdon

I have just read in Spooner and Roberts New Naturalist Fungi that the scientific name for puffball is Greek for 'wolf fart'.
