I thought it was most likely grey seal too but rather distant shot from top of the cliffs.

Likely because of site!

Cardigan Bay is a good place to see grey seals.

Most probably grey

I agree it looks more like a grey seal with the straighter profile of the face, and it looks quite a hefty beast, but it's too small in the photo to be certain. I've tried to zoom in but the photo goes pixellated. So just a 'seal' for the moment:-)

Grey seal

This is a grey seal, fat shape and 'Roman' nose. There is also the fact you don't get common seals in Cardigan Bay.
