Description:

Saw a stoat in the snow today. Assuming it made these tracks.

Stoat or weasel?

The paired tracks are distinctive for this group of mammals. Seems likely it was the stoat, the size would tell you for certain - is the coin a 1p or 2p? The head side has the same design I think (iSpot numismatics...) If 1p, then weasel, if 2p then stoat.

Yes it is a 2p piece. I saw

Yes it is a 2p piece. I saw an 'erminised' white Stoat last year - although none this year despite the snow.
