Is this a sea slug?

Two different animals both about 2cm long. The first picture is a different individual to the other two pictures. Last week there were hundreds but this week these two were all we could find. I'm assuming they are the same species.

Many thanks Nature girl - looked at Marlin and now seen them on there - interesting info about the juveniles, would like to see a full sized adult!
We have also been seeing flat 'horseshoes' on the beach which looking at the other pics on Marlin could well be a piece of their egg filament.Great stuff

The magic of nature is all around us - we just need to learn how to see it.

Happy to help :) It's great

Happy to help :) It's great to get some more posts of marine species.

Interesting about the eggs - they seem to be quite variable colour-wise looking at the pictures, as do the adults. I would like to see one of the adults too, or a juvenile for that matter. Sea slugs are so easy to overlook - I'll have to have a good hunt next time I'm at the coast.
