Are there many primroses

Are there many primroses coming into flower there in cornwall, here the ones I've seen are only just coming into leaf but it has been a cold winter here in milton keynes.

The 'real' primrose is paler and the flower smaller than the hybrid. Aren't they beautiful and delicate? When I lived in Devon (some 40 years ago) we picked bunches of them from the roadsides....wouldn't do it now, I prefer to see them growing where they belong.

Not many primroses out yet that I've seen, certainly not as many as usual, and I haven't seen any dog violets either and normally have by now. It has been(and still is) quite cold here too.
