Description:

I was on the beach today collecting seaweed for the vegetable garden and there were loads of these small shells attached to the seaweed. Is it possible to ID them?

Spirorbis

Not shells as such - calcareous tubes secreted by polychate worms. It's probably S. spirorbis as this is common all round the coast and the substrate (brown seaweed) is right, though there may be other possibilities.
