Wow! That was quick! Thanks. Looking at the other photos in the gallery for this moth, it is often seen on umbellifers (maybe specifically hogweed). Is it associated wit the plant,, I wonder, or just with this kind of habitat?

The larvae feed on grasses, so don't have any particular association with umbellifers, but they do frequently nectar on them, possibly because they're abundant around the grass meadows that the moth tends to be found in. Alternatively they might just be easier to see on the big white flowerheads!
