Large mites preferentially

Large mites preferentially occurring on the head and thorax of Nicrophorus tend to be Poecilochirus species, particularly P. carabi and P. necrophori, but there are several genera of mites found on the Nicrophorus beetles (mainly Poecilochirus, Macrocheles, Alliphis, & Neoseius)
