Not sure they have been recorded from here before though and don't remember seeing any food plant. Though a site nearby has cowslip
I'm not sure what this is but just to add that there is a somewhat similar pic of a larve of Spilosoma urticae on UKmoths website, so this or something related may also be a possibility. DoB larva seems to have a dark medial line which is not shown by this individual.
It does look like Spilosoma urticae so it might be something related.The site is dry chalk grassland, but I have no memory of cowslips there which would not be good for dob
