Bug found on bean leaf 070711
Description:

2mm beetle found in cluster on underside of French Bean leaf. Dark brown Head/Thorax; Light brown/(Caramel?) lower body with four lighter spots on wing cases. Help needed in naming.

Little nymphs!

Yes I think you are right. Very quick - thanks! Quite tricky to identify as they don't yet resemble a shield bug. Nymphs eh?

Nymphs

Yes they go through 5 moults often each moult looks like a different one, the small pores where the shield will develp contain the stink glands SB are sometimes known as stink bugs - they really do get a bad press Nice picture these are tiny so its a good macro More here
